   The non-supervisory employees of Surprise Valley Hospital have requested that a representative of Teamsters Local 137 from Redding conduct a meeting Thursday, August 4 at the hospital. The purpose of the meeting will be informational and to determine if there is sufficient interest among the employees to unionize. Issues to be discussed are representation of grievances, secure employment, normalization of wages and the possibility of better benefits.
    Teamsters Local 137 represents Surprise Valley School District teachers and hospital employees throughout northeastern California.
